Thug Thursday

I hate thursdays. Well, actually I don't. But considering that they tease the weekend in front of your face, you might as well just start partying on Thursdays. I know I do.

Got two good tunes for you today. Both bassy, both dubstep, both fire!
Found the first one from good ol' UFK dub. If you havn't noticed before, I have a thing for womens' vocals in a nice dirty dubstep song. Eva Simons on the vocals, kinda brings this Rhianna type voice, with some funk beats thrown in. Kinda makes you wanna be bad, right?
Take Over Control (Adam F Dubstep Remix) - Afrojack Ft. Eva Simons by Noiseuphoria

And ofcourse, there's BASSNECTAR. Yes, I am a HUGE bassnectar fan. Brings me back to my days where I first got into dub, seems so long ago, and yet, it wasn't. I was also a huge metallica fan. Two very different types of genres mixed together to seek and destroy the norm of both genres. Bass and Rock always go well together for an extra high dosage of awesomeness.

Seek & Destroy (Bassnectar Remixxx) by Bassnectar

So seek and destroy what's left of this week, and take control of your weekend. Oh yah, I went thur.

Enter the Magical World

Well good afternoon my little rave protege! For those of you who know me well ;), you will know that today is a very good day for me. Sharing a little story, taking risks, has it's thrills-i took some risks, and last night it came down to whether i should behave n stay home on a Friday night...or....rave n take a risk n James Bond my night-I choose rave! Although I did not actually get to my destination, however I did spend the night meeting strangers, and seeing old old friends and really enjoying my night. Being back i my car, I was blasting new BassNecatar that I decided i just had to show you guys! Now, if you don't know BassNectar by now, then it's a shame because it's my first rule, always start with a big artist and work your way around. I'm choosing this alice and wonderland picture because it's the perfect song to look at the picture and feel the magic ;)

Enjoy today's daily dose! Thizzle xx

Mix Thursday? ;)

Eyyy, kiddies. A lil late on mix Wednesday... but I hope you'll forgive me. I have brought along gifts. Lots of stuff to cover tonight.

Let's start with a lovely mix I just finished in honor of Mix Wednesday, as well as my newly purchased Pioneer cdj 100's! Half the buttons don't work, but that's neither here nor there... We do work.

So here it is, folks:
Quickdraw McGraw-Quickdraw Sound Vol. I

An introduction to my spinning sound. Begins with some Dubstep on the heavier side. Lots of real heady rollers... You can sit back with a spliff, shake your crazy ass, or just skank it out... All vibes included. Then halfway through we move on to the Drum and Bass. When I build myself a larger collection, I'll truly start upping my Bass skills, peeps because this is my music without a doubt. Tunes are all over the place like they should be. :)

Tracklistige:

Doctor P- Air Raid (Original)
Jahdan Blakkamoore-The General (Marcus Visionary Remix)

Electrosoul System- Aura (Original)
BULB- Fragile (Original)

Enjoy! and if you'd like a copy of any of the tunes don't hesitate to holla!

Also, I'd like to include two of my favorite mixes of late... Both completely different and completely bangin.

First up is Bassnectar's IDJ 2010 mixtape available from Mr. Lorin's website. I can never get enough of his sound. His knowledge of the break is so far beyond his contemporaries... it's downright sickening. "Let's all break it down"

and last but fucking wickedest is an 80's punk mix entitled "Y Bother" by Rory Them Finest from Mad Decent monster Diplo. Oh how I love Mad Decent and their crazy goodies!!

Cheers, friends! There is much much more to come.
