DJ Madam Bliss has entered the builiding

So glad to be posting this. Love, love, love this woman! Her name is Madam Bliss. When I first got into this whole dubstep scene, I went to a show and saw her, and then later on a few months later saw her yet again, and met her! What I love about her is she was my first woman dubstep artist. Ofcourse there's Reid Speed and others, but I loved how she would just spin like it was no one's buisness at the Black Hole. And spin she did, she's been at this for quite some time, and she adds an awesome touch with the dreads. I finally was able to find 3, 1-hour long mixes by her, and today's daily dose is one of them. It's called Dublissious! Tastey, it just rolls off the tounge doesn't it. You have an hour of dubstep that goes from heavy, grimey,

wobbly basslines, to mellow, reggae sounding beats and back to the grime.

It is essentially, Grime. Luckly, for those of you in the

DC/MD/VA area, she's preforming at Masquerave 2!

I've got a serious case of insomnia! Been surfin YouTube all night, been busy posting up old videos of past raves when I came along two videos I absolutely loved from fall massive: this is it!

The first video is made by 2khAAT [which suprisingly enough is pronounced like "too hot" instead of "2k-hat." HA!

My favorite is Reid Speed-she comes in at the 1:49 mark, then if you look quick and fast you can see my girl Sallie!!!-starting at 1:56-she's the girl with the headband and BRIGHT gorgeous blonde hair and all black! Mad credit for this video-created by 2khAAT, hosted by Steeze Promo!

So next Friday, April 9th, is one to mark on the calendars. If you're a resident of the District or are just in the area and looking for a reason to get silly! this is it. District Ignition is joining forces with Steez Promo to bring an evening of bassbin madness like you've never experienced!! District Ignition's main club event, Snatch Rewired, is the longest running underground EDM party in the District and for good reason. Since Rewired moved to Muse Nightclub in November, they've kept on bringing quality underground dance music producers and dj's to town. Snatch @ Muse has seen the likes of AC Slater, DJ Icey, Treasure Fingers, M.A.N.D.Y., Kill the Noise, Elite Force, Star Eyes, John B, and DJ Craze just to name a few. Steez and DI are bringing a solid lineup with headliners Reid Speed, Drop The Lime, and Trillbass with support from a host of amazing local dj's including District Ignition's own Ciconte, Steez Promo's frontman Smash Gordon, as well as local sub frequency rockers Houston(DnB) and Hubsmoke(Dub). Tiz, James, and I will be there, and so should you.

B. Rich's long anticipated EP for We Ball Harder is finally here and for free!!! That's right. I said Free!!! I remember the exact moment I first heard this song. It was the morning after my first electronic music event that wasn't in some terribly posh club. :) I had just been blown away by a cast of amazing artists including AC Slater, Reid Speed, D.L.O.D., Joe Nice,and AK1200. From the second I woke up, all I could think about was the Reid Speed demo cd I had been given by a roadie of hers. "Breakdown Breakup" changed my life for sure. Although Cheap Thrills Vol. 1 had been my introduction to bass house and dubstep, this mix just violently caught my ear. I'm dancing around my house in NW DC that morning just rockin out, when halfway through her set, Ms. Speed drops the bottom out from underneath me.

"What you gonna do? Cuz I ball hard. No bitch we ball harder. What you gonna do playin me hard when I talk to you? Cuz I ball hard. No bitch we ball harder."
